Practical, With Grace
The breezeway, or bridge, to the guest suite can be closed off from the rest of the house to conserve heat. The rustic, stone-lined Japanese-style bath, partly visible at lower left, has low windows for a bather's view over a nearby field. The tree-trunk railing and cedar-shingle interior walls are typical Zema touches. Windows to the right open onto a courtyard garden and ensure natural light is available from both sides of the room.
