Early Riser | Nation's top-ranked freshman feels pressure
Tony Wroten, 14, was under intense scrutiny from basketball scouts even before he played his first game for Garfield High School. He hasn't disappointed. Years of practice with his dad — sometimes starting as early as 4 a.m. — helped prepare the 6-foot-5 freshman to stand up to the competition and the rigors of expectation.
