Despite drying, cooling trend, flooding and road closures continue
Gretchen Abernathy was rescued from her home on the north banks of the river by Snohomish firefighter Keith Simmons when flood water came into house for the first time in the 35 years that she and her family have lived there. Abernathy uses a wheelchair and was carried by a group of firefighters to her car.
