Researchers stunned by inmates' success raising endangered frogs
Harry Greer, an inmate at Cedar Creek Corrections Center south of Olympia, tends to 9-week-old Oregon spotted frogs. The inmates' frogs are bigger than those being raised at other sites in the project because the inmates have time to look at them every two hours and feed them at a higher rate, according to the project's senior research scientist.
