DNA, ballistics tie man to cop killing, police say
MONFORT PULLED OVER IN TRAFFIC STOP A frame grab from a Seattle Police Department patrol car shows officers pulling over suspect Christopher Monfort six blocks away from where Officer Timothy Brenton would be shot and killed two weeks later. Monfort was stopped for failing to signal while turning, after officers noticed him driving around, seemingly lost. Monfort received a ticket for expired insurance during the traffic stop.
