Ex-Mariners Randy Johnson, Edgar Martinez joined by history, week's events

In this Aug. 8, 1997, file photo, Seattle Mariners pitcher Randy Johnson celebrates his 19th and final strike out in the ninth inning against the Chicago White Sox during a baseball game at the Kingdome, in Seattle. Johnson tied Nolan Ryan's record of 5 games with over 15 strike outs in one season. Johnson is retiring after 22 major league seasons. The Big Unit, an overpowering lefty who last June became the 24th pitcher in big league history to win 300 games, made the expected announcement on a conference call on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010.
