NOW: The school was damaged by a 1949 earthquake and removed. The homes were razed in the early 1980s and replaced first by a play area for a day care. Since 1996, the corner has bloomed with one of the city's many community gardens or P-Patches. See more on the Cascade P-Patch's blog at http://cascade-ppatch.blogspot.com/.
