Vashon Island farms make for a fresh and tasty day trip

Delilah Davis, 13, and Rosalie MacNeal, 14, strip leaves off lavender at Lavender Hill Farm on Vashon Island. With 20 varieties of lavender, the farm allows island visitors to cut lavender for themselves, for making fragrant wands and wreaths or to use in cooking.
