Caregivers tried to cover up mistake that led to disfiguring injuries Audree Hopkins, 71, severely injured in a 2007 explosion at an adult family home, receives physical therapy at a West Seattle nursing home where she now lives. Hopkins was burned in her wheelchair when a lit cigarette ignited her oxygen pump. The incident led to the state's first criminal case against an adult-home owner for failure to report neglect.
