The Walker-Pope home is modular, based on a 16-foot grid, sized to fit on a flatbed truck. "The house is prefabricated; a different animal in the way that it went together," Walker says. "It arrived on two trucks: one with the steel, the other with panels. They erected the house in seven days." It was built by island contractor Dave Shore Construction.
