Thousands of civilians take part in a re-enactment of Pickett's Charge on the 150th anniversary of the historic Battle of Gettysburg on Wednesday in Gettysburg, Penn. The Rebel charge, which occurred on July 3, 1863, the last day of the three-day battle, was a decisive Union victory and widely considered the turning point in the American Civil War in favor of the Union. Federal and Confederate armies suffered a combined total of 51,000 casualties over three days, the highest number of any battle in the four-year war.
