Architect Stephen Sullivan’s home of perfect imperfection

“I think my neighbors thought that when Mrs. McNutt died, somebody would paint the house,” says Sullivan, who bought the place two years ago. But he likes the gray shakes with dark patches, much like a quilt. The towering sycamore is Seattle’s second-oldest.
