American jihadi slain in Somalia by rivals

This photo downloaded from a file-sharing site linked from the Twitter account of Omar Hammami, a most-wanted American jihadi in Somalia, purports to show Hammami with blood on his neck and shirt on April 26, 2013 following what he labeled an assassination attempt as he was sitting in a tea shop. Hammami, a jihadi from Alabama whose nom de guerre is Abu Mansoor Al-Amriki, or "the American," and ascended the ranks of Somalia's al-Qaida-linked militant group al-Shabab high enough to attract a $5 million U.S. government bounty, was reported killed Thursday in an ambush ordered by the militant group's leader, militants said.
