The living-room fireplace is oversized and welcoming. “That’s one of my favorite parts,” says Leinonen. Beams are hand-hewn. The home is a sentimental place: “Tim will say, ‘Oh, (6-year-old) Morgan’s going to love this,” Leinonen says of her interior designer, Tim De Clue. “He never buys for trends.” The brown leather furniture is kid-proof. The brown mohair sofa on the right was a hand-me-down.
