Tourists gather in front of old and new Casino Lisboa during a Chinese New Year celebration in Macau. The annual holiday is the busiest time of year for the former Portuguese colony, which became a special Chinese region in 1999. Many of the millions of mainland Chinese on the move during the holiday, often referred to as the world’s biggest migration, head to Macau during the festival.
