Moses Coulee: Dramatic tales of the land and its people

A lonely rental boat waits out the winter on the banks of frozen, snow-covered Jameson Lake, east of Waterville, Douglas County. The lake near the head of Moses Coulee once drew thousands of trout anglers, but a stubborn algae bloom has fouled the waters in recent years.
