The life-size sculpture “Cigar Smokin’ Jockey” by Jim Jones came from the Carothers’ time in Tucson. Art is like a second family to Cassandra; paintings, baskets, ceramics, sculpture, fabrics. Here, she relaxes in the study. “This is the perfect place when you’ve had a major life loss,” she says of her vertical neighborhood.
