Bellevue's eclectic KBCS making programming changes

Bellevue's KBCS 91.3-FM is known for a wide array of music programming ranging from jazz to world music, but like other community radio stations nationwide, listener interest and loyalty has been waning for the past few years, station managers say.

To try and halt the decline, the Bellevue College-owned station is increasing its morning public affairs programs and eliminating several morning music shows starting Aug. 24, including Drive Time Jazz. But some long-time listeners and volunteers say the changes are coming too fast and without enough of their input. Read today's story to learn more.
