Friends of the Seattle Public Library's semiannual sale this weekend

One of the region's largest used-book sales, the Friends of the Seattle Public Library's semiannual sale, is this weekend at Warren G. Magnuson Park's Building 30, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle.

More than 250,000 items: books, CDs, records, videos, art prints, posters and sheet music will be offered at bargain prices.

Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Most books sell for $1, but a selection will cost more. Most items are half price on Sunday.

A preview sale for Members of Friends of the Library only is 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. today.

Proceeds from the sale benefit the city's library system.
