“Wilderness” by Lance Weller (Bloomsbury, $16). New in paperback, Gig Harbor author Lance Weller’s debut novel follows a Civil War veteran who looks back on his harrowing war experience from a postwar home on the shores of the Olympic Peninsula.
“Sandcastle and Other Stories” by Justin Bog (Green Darner Press, $14.95). This collection of 10 short stories by San Juan Islands author Justin Bog includes a bonus chapter from his first novel, “Wake Me Up.”
“Sylvia’s Spinach” by Katherine Pryor (Readers to Eaters Books, $15.95). Illustrated by Anna Raff, Seattle food advocate Katherine Pryor’s children’s book is the story of a picky eater who shuns spinach until she gets to grow spinach from seeds in the school garden.
The title of Justin Bog’s “Sandcastle and Other Stories” has been corrected in this update.
