Wintrust Financial closes $182.9M stock offering

Wintrust Financial Corp., which operates community bank subsidiaries, said Tuesday it sold 5.8 million shares in a public offering that netted about $182.9 million.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. —

Wintrust Financial Corp., which operates community bank subsidiaries, said Tuesday it sold 5.8 million shares in a public offering that netted about $182.9 million.

The stock offering was first announced on March 4. Wintrust did not specify how it planned to use the proceeds from the sale.

Wintrust said it has granted underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to 870,000 additional shares to cover over-allotments.
