Daktronics lands contract with Mexico City arena

A South Dakota manufacturer of video display systems said it has landed a multimillion-dollar contract with an arena being built in Mexico City.

BROOKINGS, S.D. —

A South Dakota manufacturer of video display systems said it has landed a multimillion-dollar contract with an arena being built in Mexico City.

Daktronics Inc. said Tuesday it will install a video, scoring and advertising display system for Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

The arena is scheduled to open next fall, with installation of the Daktronics system beginning the following spring. The venue will host sporting events, concerts and other entertainment events.

Daktronics designs, manufactures, sells and services display systems for customers around the world, including several Major League Baseball and National Football League teams in the U.S.
