Amazon.com, Vulcan Real Estate and city officials Tuesday celebrated completion of the latest, and largest, phase of the big headquarters complex Vulcan is building for Amazon in South Lake Union. Among the celebrants — restaurateur Tom Douglas, above, with his wife and business partner, Jackie Cross. Douglas will have three restaurants in a renovated brick warehouse that is part of the recently completed phase. It also includes two12-story office buildings totaling 545,000 square feet. When the South Lake Union campus is completed in 2013, fast-growing Amazon will occupy more than 2.3 million square feet there and in the Denny Triangle. A spokeswoman said the online retailer has no plans for more space at this time.
