Berkshire Hathaway unit buys Seattle residential brokerage

A real-estate subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has acquired a Seattle residential real-estate brokerage.

A real-estate subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has acquired a Seattle residential real-estate brokerage.

HomeServices of America purchased Prudential Northwest Realty Associates, the companies said Thursday. The price was not disclosed.

Prudential Northwest has 350 sales people in offices in Seattle, Bellevue, Burien, Kent, Federal Way and Lynnwood. It will retain its management, name and affiliation with the national Prudential Real Estate network.
