Motricity, the Bellevue wireless services company, has named Richard Stalzer to be the company’s chief executive.
Stalzer, who has been president of Voltari, the mobile media division of Motricity, replaces Jim Smith, who took over as interim chief executive in August 2011 after a period of turmoil in Motricity’s top executive ranks. Smith is leaving the company, according to a release announcing the latest changes.
In addition to Stalzer’s promotion, the company named Chief Financial Officer Nathan Fong to also be the company’s chief operating officer. General Counsel Richard Sadowsky will also be chief administrative officer.
