Joseph Williams was named the dean of Seattle Pacific University’s School of Business and Economics.

Williams, who has a Ph.D. from the University of Texas, previously worked at Microsoft and Sun Microsystems.

Williams was most recently managing director of the “software as a service partner” channel, managing 10,000 partners in Microsoft’s SaaS cloud channel business.

Architecture: Larry Flack was promoted to principal at Runberg Architecture Group, Seattle.

Banking: Jameila Stewart was named branch manager at Washington Federal, Seattle. David Huguenin joined Bellevue-based Puget Sound Bank as senior vice president, relationship manager. Thomas Robertswas promoted to region manager and head of the branch network for the Washington Metropolitan Region at U.S. Bank, Seattle.

Communications: Steffanie Mortera and Alisa Song were hired as assistant account executives at Frause, Seattle.

Construction: Adam Vance, Ryan Prescott and Christian Gunter were hired at Skanska USA, Seattle.

Consulting: Daniel Kuzmycz and Dean Warman were hired as consultants, and Anita Maasen as office manager at PeopleFirm, Seattle. Brian Ulman and Kurt Maass were hired as consultants at CFO Selections, Bellevue.

Insurance: Alan Hille was named sales executive at Ultra Risk Advisors, Bellevue.

Law: Dan Gottlieb, Irene Fisher, Maude Anderson and Andy Rigel joined Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, Seattle. Becki Ashbaugh was named partner at Ashbaugh Beal, Seattle.

Nonprofits: Sarah Breece was named events manager at Komen Puget Sound, Seattle.

Ports: John Carter was named chief financial officer at the Port of Everett.

Research: Lisa Shin was hired as director of communications and marketing at Washington Policy Center, Seattle.

Technology: Sean Gorman was named chief operating officer at Panopto, Seattle.
