TUESDAY: The Labor Department releases its job openings and labor turnover survey for March. ... The Commerce Department reports on March wholesale trade inventories.

WEDNESDAY: Boeing holds its annual investor conference from 9:15 a.m. until noon in Bellevue. It will include presentations by CEO Dennis Muilenburg, CFO Greg Smith, Commercial Airplanes boss Ray Conner, and Defense division chief Leanne Caret. It’s not open to the public but a webcast is accessible at the Investors section of boeing.com.

THURSDAY: Nordstrom reports first-quarter results. Will there be signs of a turnaround after two disappointing quarters and the announcement of hundreds of layoffs? ... Mortgage company Freddie Mac releases weekly mortgage rates. ... The Labor Department posts weekly jobless claims.

FRIDAY: The Commerce Department reports on retail sales for April and business inventories for March. ... The Labor Department releases the Producer Price Index for April.
