Spring is here, and it’s time to start exercising that green thumb again. Spruce up your indoor and outdoor spaces with some living color — and some brand-new planters and pots to brighten your day.

You can make your floriculture even “greener” by keeping plastic containers out of the landfill. Bio Bamboo Containers ($3 —$4 at City People’s Garden Store, Madison Valley) come in a range of shades and break down after two years. And if you toss ’em (or bury them), they’ll biodegrade into organic fertilizer within a year.

For indoor planting, if you’ve got something truly teeny to showcase, check out the plaid-printed, 3-inch Scheurich cube container ($5 at Molbak’s).
