LeeAnn Palo

Woodinville girls basketball

Palo, a 5-foot-8 senior guard, totaled 19 points and seven assists in a 61-44 win over Eastlake. She scored 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting and 3 for 3 from three-point range to go with four assists as the Falcons snapped a 20-game losing streak against Redmond with a 68-40 win.

Murray Longbotham

Mercer Island boys swimming

The freshman posted three state-qualifying times as the Islanders topped Newport 114-71 to capture the KingCo 3A regular-season title. Longbotham won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 46.36 seconds, improving on his Class 2A/3A statewide season-best time by more than a second. He also won the 100 free (49.46) and was on the winning 400 free relay (3:22.17).

Inglemoor wrestling

The Vikings, under first-year coach Kevin Corbett, completed their first undefeated KingCo 4A dual-meet season (11-0) in fifteen years with a 57-21 win against Bothell. With 25 wrestlers competing in 14 weight classes, Inglemoor outscored league opponents by an average of 30 points and recorded 120 pins.
