The Washington Huskies have received a commitment from running back/receiver Chris Polk of Redlands East Valley High School in Redlands, Calif., according to internet reports.

Polk, 5 feet 11 and 195 pounds, rushed for 1,200 yards and 34 touchdowns, according to Scout.com.

Polk had committed to USC but recently reopened his commitment and chose UW, where he will likely play receiver.

Scout.com rates Polk as the No. 9 high-school running back in the country. Polk reportedly will enroll at UW in January and be available for spring practice.
