Rewind: Live chat with former UW kicker Chuck Nelson

During his Husky career, Chuck Nelson was one of the best placekickers in college football and still ranks at or near the top of the list for many UW season and career kicking records.

From 1980-82, he kicked 61 field goals in 75 attempts (.813) and in his senior season he was named a unanimous first-team All-American after he set the NCAA record for field-goal percentage (25 of 26, .962).

He was selected in the fourth round of the 1983 NFL Draft and played five seasons for the L.A. Rams, Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings.

After his playing days, he was a color analyst on UW football radio broadcasts for 17 seasons and can currently be heard on Sports Radio KJR's Husky Roundtable on Monday mornings.
