Player of the game

Washington quarterback Keith Price might have missed a few throws early on, but like the entire offense, he rebounded in the second half and finished with a career-high five touchdown passes to tie a school record.

Play of the game

Washington junior receiver Keith Smith likely will find his way onto highlight reels for years to come with his play in the third quarter, when he leapt out of bounds to grab the ball and then throw it back onto the field after a punt had bounced off the shoulder of a Colorado player. UW's Will Shamburger recovered at the Husky 35 to set up a TD.

Turning point

The Huskies led just 7-0 when Shamburger recovered the fumble Smith saved with 13:12 left in the third quarter. The Huskies had just been forced to punt following their first drive of the second half, but the touchdown that followed quickly opened the floodgates.

Stat of the game

Colorado had only two plays that went for more than 20 yards, and only two of 12 possessions went into UW territory — one following a 59-yard kickoff return to start the drive on the Husky 40.

Injury report

UW appeared to suffer no significant injuries. Cornerback Desmond Trufant did not play due to a lingering hamstring injury, but he should be back for the Apple Cup on Friday.

By the numbers

3 Consecutive games of more than 100 yards for Bishop Sankey after he rushed for 139 yards. He's now ninth on the UW season list with 1,150 yards.

7 Receptions for Kasen Williams to lead the Huskies.

10 Solo tackles by linebacker Travis Feeney to top Washington.

141 Yards of total offense for Colorado, compared to 476 for Huskies.

Quoteworthy

"He got his point through in the locker room and we came out in the second half and played the way we should have played." — UW tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins on what coach Steve Sarkisian said at halftime with the Huskies ahead just 7-0.
