Seattle superhero arrested

Posted by Letters editor

Secret identity should not have been revealed

I am absolutely disgusted that you would publish the real name and unmasked photos of local superhero Phoenix Jones. [“Seattle ‘superhero’ arrested,” NWTuesday, Oct. 11.]

How many muggings and car thefts has he stopped? How many drug dealers has he run out of shady areas of Seattle? How many fights has he stopped? He has laid his life on the line for this city.

The charges against him are completely bogus, as anyone who has watched the video or is familiar with that particular block of Pioneer Square/downtown knows. That area is very shady, and I avoid it like the plague at night.

That was definitely a fight, and I am confident Jones will be exonerated. Do you realize that those “victims” were asking for a handgun (in Russian) at one point during the video?

He has stopped and prevented many crimes, and you have chosen to endanger him and his family by revealing his identity.
