One Bus Away

Posted by Letters editor

App saves time

I am truly glad to see some attention being brought to one of the most useful smartphone or mobile-device applications on the market, One Bus Away. [“UW grad updates bus-service apps from Switzerland,” Business, Oct. 10.]

I use the King County Metro System nearly every day of my life. This application has been extremely beneficial for me — it has saved me countless hours waiting for the bus over this past year. The precision and accuracy of this application is outstanding. I have witnessed the app predict the arrival a bus down to a few seconds.

The already sterling experience I have had with this app could be improved and expanded upon with proper funding. This application could increase the amount of people using the bus system, due to how much easier and less stressful it is to take the bus with this app.

We need to expand One Bus Away nationwide, for all transportation systems.
