Romney mingles with mega-donors
Donors are now considered investors
In The Times’ article “Romney hobnobs with mega-donors” [Nation and World Report, June 24], a senior Mitt Romney adviser describes these mega-donors as “ ... our major investors.” I’ve never heard of political donors referred to as investors before.
I found this to be a very telling choice of words — investors expect a return on investment. If Romney becomes president, what kind of deals are being cut right now to ensure that his “major investors” will be satisfied?
