UW students turn plastic garbage into composting toilets
Better than corporate America
What a wonderful story showing how our young people are coming together to solve important problems [“UW trio using trash to build better lives in Third World,” page one, Nov. 1]. It just goes to show you how varied experiences come together and spark genuine creativity.
Three students, from different Seattle high schools, come together after a variety of other experiences and take an existing technology to a whole new level that benefits humankind.
Our world is in good hands if these three young people represent ourfuture business people. This sure beats the typical new product produced by corporate America. (How many flavors of yogurt and water beverages do we need?) But heck, at least these young people can put that wasted plastic to good use.
