Potential police use of drones in Seattle provokes debate
Drones show disregard for due process
Why are people so upset about the domestic use of drones [“Hearing airs distrust over drones,” NWThursday, Feb. 7]? I’m sure the police will use them with the same measured consideration as the White House does.
Just think of how much tax money will be saved by skipping all that due-process nonsense. You’ll never have to show up for jury duty again, isn’t that wonderful? Some faceless functionary in the government will simply decide that someone or other is guilty of something or other, press a button and boom, problem solved!
It’s not like that recently vaporized alleged perpetrator will complain.
And if any other anti-American freedom-hater complains, well then, he’s obviously with the terrorists and we know how to deal with that, now don’t we?
