World-class walls

The 6-mile security fence between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Melilla, built in the late 1990s, is being raised from three yards to six yards after hundreds of immigrants rushed the fence in a bid to enter Europe. Morocco has objected to the barrier, considering Melilla to be occupied Moroccan land, and has sought control of the territory since 1975.
