Endorsements in the Seattle mayor race Thursday

Posted by Emily Heffter

James Donaldson, who finished fourth in the primary election, has endorsed Joe Mallahan for Seattle mayor.

Donaldson, a business owner and former Sonic, often agreed with Mallahan on the campaign trail. His campaign spokeswoman, Cindi Laws, said the two struck up "a great friendship" during the primary campaign.
Donaldson got about 8 percent of the primary-election vote.

Candidate Mike McGinn secured the endorsement of the Cascade Bicycle Club today. McGinn, a bike commuter who passes out "Mike Bikes" campaign signs and stickers, wasn't endorsed by the club in the primary. The club endorsed incumbent Mayor Greg Nickels, instead, acknowledging his bike-friendly policies.
