Condos recently sold in the Puget Sound region

There is a wide range of prices for condos in the Seattle area. Here are some examples.

Along with the rest of the housing market, condos have seen their prices dip considerably during the past few years, resulting in more affordable nooks in Seattle's most desirable neighborhoods.

At the other end of the pricing scale, upmarket units offer exceptional views and amenities, and more space than many single-family dwellings.

In King County, the median price of a condo has fallen 23 percent to $178,500 since October 2010, according to the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. The number of condos that have changed hands — 3,784 — has increased 6 percent through the first 10 months of the year, compared with a year ago.

Here are some examples of recently sold properties:

Downtown Seattle

A view of Puget Sound is part of the décor in this two-story Millennium Tower condo, which listed for just under $3 million. Amenities include granite surfaces, floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedrooms, a spacious deck and concierge.

First Hill views

This First Hill condo seems designed for dinner parties, with large formal areas for entertaining and even a butler's kitchen. Bonus perk: the wraparound view of downtown Seattle from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Bellevue elegance

This bright, elegant condo on the 19th floor of downtown Bellevue's Pacific Tower is central for shopping, dining and transit. Inside the unit, large windows offset by crown molding reveal views of Mount Rainier, Lake Washington and the Seattle skyline.

Queen Anne views

Sold for: $199,950

Burien bargain

This Burien residence, which went for a song in a short sale, was touted as terrific for would-be residents or investors. The top-floor unit has new flooring and a balcony, and the complex boasts a swimming pool, sauna and tennis/basketball courts.
