12th Man Margarita

Real football fans may drink beer. But the Seahawks in the Super Bowl calls for a special treat. And a bright Seahawks-blue margarita with a lime-green garnish sure is hard to resist.

In honor of the Seahawks' run to Detroit, we've compiled a selection of special celebratory drinks available at local bars and eateries:

The Place: Elliott's Oyster House, 1201 Alaskan Way, Pier 56, Seattle, 206-623-4340. ($7.50)

Quote: "The Curaçao is a little bit sweeter, and it's a nice complement to the tequila. ... For people that don't necessarily like the sharpness of tequila and lime, it takes that edge off." — Dane Addison, manager

12th Man Margarita

13/4 ounces

Cuervo Gold tequila

3/4 ounce Blue Curaçao

Sweet and Sour

Two lime halves

Salt the rim of the glass. Squeeze half a lime into the shaker, add tequila and Curaçao and top off with sweet and sour. Shake with ice and pour into glass. Score lime with knife to create a football and add as garnish.

The Shaun Alexander

The Place: McCormick's Fish House & Bar, 722 Fourth Ave., Seattle, 206-682-3900. ($6.75)

The Shaun Alexander

1 ½ ounces Brandy

1 ounce Blue Curaçao

1/2 ounce fresh squeezed

orange juice

Quote: "Because 21 years is the age of the Glenlivet scotch and how long it's been since we've been [won] in the playoffs as well." — Casey DeLoach, bartender

The 21-Year Martini

2 ½ ounces Stoli gold vodka

1/2 ounce The Glenlivet 21-year

archive Scotch whisky

Orange peel garnish

Combine vodka and Scotch whisky with ice in a shaker. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with orange.

The Blitz

The Place: McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, 1103 First Ave., Seattle, 206-623-5500. ($8)

Quote: "It represents blitzing the quarterback, which is what we've done all season. Then it's the name of our mascot, who's a rock star. ... And finally, if you drink too many of them, you will get blitzed." — Eric Trendel, general manager

The Blitz

1 ½ part Patron Silver Tequila

1 ½ oz part Blue Curaçao
