Seahawks sign draft choice Justin Forsett

California running back Justin Forsett is the first of the Seahawks' seven draft choices to sign a contract. He signed a four-year deal.

Seattle Times staff reporter

Running back Justin Forsett became the first of this year's draft picks to sign with the Seahawks.

The Seahawks announced today that Forsett has signed a four-year contract. Forsett was drafted in the seventh round, the last of seven players chosen by the Seahawks in April. He played at California, where he also played special teams early in his career. He is very strong for his size, but at 5 feet 8 is among the shortest running backs who will be in camp.

The Seahawks waived Donovan Alexander, an undrafted free agent, to make room for Forsett on the roster.
