RENTON — Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck left practice this morning because of tightness in his back and did not return to the field for the rest of the morning workout and was not present in the afternoon, either.
Hasselbeck said his back tightened up on him during the team's exhibition game in Minnesota on Aug. 8. He missed three days of practice after the game, and did not play in Saturday's exhibition game against Chicago.
With Hasselbeck out from practice, Charlie Frye served as quarterback with the first-unit offense because Seneca Wallace is out with a groin injury.
