RENTON — Isaiah Stanback's hard luck in the NFL continues.

The former Washington Huskies and Garfield High standout, who was hoping to land with the Seahawks, suffered a season-ending left Achilles injury early in the afternoon practice.

Drafted in the fourth round by Dallas in 2007, the 6-2, 208-pound receiver and kick returner played two seasons with the Cowboys before signing with New England in 2009.

Last season, Stanback appeared in six games and caught three passes for 22 yards with the Patriots.

The third-year veteran has five catches for 46 yards during his career. He's also averaged 22.7 yards as a kick returner.

Stanback started 20 games at quarterback for the Huskies in four years at UW. He passed for 3,868 yards, 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

He also ran for 794 career yards.
