Seahawks Two-Minute Drill
Seahawks Two-Minute Drill
Players of the game
• Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson attempted a career-high 37 passes, threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns. Just as importantly, he was not intercepted by the defense that entered leading the league in take-aways.
• Bears receiver Brandon Marshall caught 10 passes for 165 yards.
Play of the game
Marshall's 56-yard catch in the final minute was unbelievable. The Bears had the ball at their own 14-yard line with 20 seconds left and trailing by three points. Jay Cutler scrambled, and threw downfield to Marshall, who made a leaping catch over cornerback Richard Sherman. The Bears kicked the game-tying field goal two plays later, forcing overtime.
Seattle faced third-and-10 at the Bears' 25 in overtime when Wilson completed a 12-yard pass to Doug Baldwin on a comeback route. It was the last of three third-down conversions on that drive, the first two converted on Wilson runs. Seattle scored on its next play.
• Seattle won an overtime game for the first time since 2005.
• The Seahawks had their two longest drives of the season, driving 94 yards for their first touchdown and then 97 yards in the final four minutes to take the lead.
