Three questions

First purchase as a pro: “A black Range Rover Sport.”

Who would you want to see race on the team? “I think Arceto (Clark) is pretty fast. And Earl (Thomas) is fast.”

If you had one super power, what would it be? “I have two. I would like to fly or read minds. No, I don’t want to read minds. That wouldn’t make life fun. I want to fly.”

What happened

Training camp came to an end on Thursday, although the Seahawks’ schedule won’t change much as a result.

The big story

The Seahawks experimented with putting WR Phil Bates at fullback for the first time. Bates, who is 6 feet 1 and 220 pounds, has played only receiver for the past two years after playing quarterback for much of his college career. “We’ve had him here long enough to know what we can expect from him outside,” offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said, “but he’s a big body, so we want to see what he can give us in the backfield.”

Play of the day

WR Arceto Clark hauled in a couple of impressive catches, including one where he went up for the ball against DB Chris Maragos in the end zone. Clark and Maragos battled for the ball coming down, but Clark held on for the catch. Clark, who played at Mississippi State, was not drafted last spring.

Injury report

WR Sidney Rice didn’t practice Thursday. Coach Pete Carroll didn’t talk after practice, so Rice’s status is unclear. It’s possible he might have just received a day off. Rice went to Switzerland earlier in training camp to have a preventive procedure on a knee that had bothered him. LB Bruce Irvin (groin) also didn’t return to practice.

The Seahawks will have a closed practice on Friday, then play the Denver Broncos in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Saturday at CenturyLink Field.
