As I wake on Wednesday morning, the feeling of being a Super Bowl champion has barely started to sink in. The dream of playing in the biggest stage that football has to offer had become a reality on Sunday.

The game and the glorious outcome left me in a euphoric state as well as exhausted. Wednesday, however, I’m as excited as I have been since the ending of the game. On a cold, yet sunny day in Seattle, my teammates and I get to share those emotions of joy and excitement with the greatest fans in the world.

As we slowly make our way through the crowds of people filling the streets of downtown Seattle, it finally hits me. What we set out to accomplish back in July was now coming full circle. We are champions of the world!

The near 1 million fans crowding the streets from cities all over the state couldn’t help themselves. They were elated to show their appreciation to the players they watched battle for world supremacy. The loudest fans in the world cheered as we waved to them from the back of military vehicles. They smiled. They cried. They laughed. They screamed our names and announced their support once again for their beloved Seahawks.

The city that had been starving for a championship finally has its place at the table.
