Bob Newton was an offensive lineman with the Seattle Seahawks during their inaugural NFL season in 1976.
He was drafted in the third round of the 1971 NFL draft by Chicago and went on to play 11 seasons with the Bears and Seahawks.
In college, Newton played on the undefeated 1970 Nebraska national championship team and was an AP consensus All-American.
After retiring from football, Bob has worked in the chemical dependency field since 1986 and is currently the director of the Residential Day Treatment Program at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
