Seahawks looking at another quarterback

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Seattle and Arizona are shopping side by side for quarterbacks this week. The Seahawks will host Charlie Whitehurst later this week, a restricted free agent from the San Diego Chargers.

Whitehurst had a third-round tender applied to him.

Whitehurst was visiting Arizona on Wednesday.

Derek Anderson, former Browns quarterback, will be visiting later this week as well, and then he is scheduled to travel to Arizona.

As for an ESPN radio report regarding Seattle's interest -- reportedly repeated interest -- in acquiring either Donovan McNabb or Kevin Kolb, I have not been able to find any corroboration for Seattle's interest in McNabb.

Interest in adding McNabb would be difficult to understand given the fact that you would be acquiring a quarterback who's about the same age as Matt Hasselbeck, in the exact same contract situation with one year left on his deal and plays in a similar offense to the one Hasselbeck ran for so many years under Mike Holmgren.
