Pete Carroll on Brandon Marshall: "We're on alert, watching. It's an interesting situation."

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Brandon Marshall's decision to sign his one-year qualifying offer for $2.51 million, which frees Denver to trade the receiver. Since Seattle is the only team Marshall visited while a restricted free agent, how does that news impact the Seahawks?

"There's really nothing to report there," coach Pete Carroll said. "Nothing much has happened. We've done our homework and our research on it, and it's really kind of not in our hands right now. The Broncos have things to do, and they've got to figure out what they're doing on their end of it before really anything can happen.

"We're just kind of waiting and seeing. We're on alert, watching. It's an interesting situation so we'll just have to wait it out."

Are there other suitors besides Seattle? Yes, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN and Josina Anderson of FOX 31 in Denver.
